"Multiple transverse drainages across the bedrock high"

  The first image illustrates multiple transverse drainages across the bedrock high near the  antecedent Hurricane Canyon.  The second image shows multiple transverse drainages near Canyon De Chelly, a superimposed transverse drainage.  Multiple transverse drainages are possible via superimposition and antecedence because the drainages pre-date uplift or most recent exposure of the bedrock high.  As long as the drainages are able to maintian through-flow across a rising or emeriging structure, several transverse drainages can develop across the same bedrock high.
